Q2 starts today.
Q2 starts today. And if you’ve been in recruiting long enough, you know what that means. The billers who are going to have a massive second half of the year? They’re not waiting until June to figure it out. They’re making decisions RIGHT NOW that either build momentum or kill it. Here’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. There are certain moments in a year where the energy is naturally higher. Where the mind is ready for a reset. Where the conditions are just right to make a real move. The start of a new quarter is one of those moments. This isn’t soft mindset stuff. Think about it from a practical recruiting perspective:
Q2 is when the pipeline you half-built in Q1 either converts or dies. So the question isn’t whether there’s opportunity right now. There is. The question is whether you’re set up to capture it. The recruiters I’ve watched have their best years aren’t necessarily the most talented. They’re the ones who treat moments like this as a real reset point. They look at their desk, their BD pipeline, their placements-in-progress, and they make clear decisions about where to put their energy for the next 90 days. They don’t drift into Q2. They step into it. If you want to use this momentum, start with one question today: “What is the ONE thing on my desk right now that, if I focused on it for the next two weeks, would have the biggest impact on my billings?” Not five things. One. Write it down. Work it today. Don’t let the leverage point pass. Benjamin P.S. If you want to be in a room with recruiters who think this way every single day, two options for you:
